Yesterday a friend of ours showed us some straws he had saved just for us :)
The wrapper is paper and says "Earth Friendly Straw" So we were curious and opened it (the day before we had run into plastic straws at a restaurant and didn't even realize it, plastic is so sneaky!) so earth friendly straws were really a big surprise for us. The straw inside was made from paper! A paper straw! Not a plastic straw! We were so excited!
I checked out the website also listed on the wrapper and read through their "About" and "History" sections and I highly recommend you do the same. If you own a restaurant, cafe, bar, use straws frequently, or know someone who does any of these, please please tell them about Aardvark Straws! I plan on going to my local businesses and spreading the word, if we all just get one or two businesses to change what they carry we can make a HUGE difference :)

It doesn't get soggy and mushy in the liquid?
Nope, doesn't get soggy in the liquid, they line their straws with various kinds of wax substances to prevent this from happening
Kewl,I've never heard of it before. Maybe I'll look into it.
