Ravelry Swap Package!

My package arrived at the end of a very long and trying week.

On Wednesday Bowser lost her long battle with Parvo. Matt and I have been devastated. We are so happy that Lisa has not gotten sick, if she stays healthy for another week the vet said it was unlikely that she will get parvo. I can't talk about it too much, so I will end this note here.

The moment I opened the package I smelled the most beautiful scent of autumn. Sadly, the candle jar had been broken in transit, but the candle will still be burnable on a plate or something :) I also received some gorgeous fall note cards and a large bag of candy. The best part about the entire package though, was the roving! A 50/50 cormo/kid mohair blend in a color called Squash from a solar powered farm and mill! How cool is that? I can't wait to start spinning this stuff up :D Thank you so much swap partner, you did a phenomenal job! (Better pictures to come, I promise)

Tomorrow Matt and I are heading up to Albuquerque to meet my parents for the Balloon Fiesta, I will take loads of pictures and show you all next week :) Have a great weekend!

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss, you must be utterly heartbroken. I truly sympathize with your pain, our pets are truly family in the house I grew up in. I hope the other puppy ends up healthy. Fingers crossed for you.

Damn, the candle broke! I really agonized over the scent too... you like earthy scents that are at the opposite spectrum of what I like so I had no idea if this smelled "nice" or not.

I also forgot to put in one of the treats, which I didn't realize until after I sent it. D'oh!

Better package next time, promise. :)

Oh, that post made me so sad! We have a sweet puppy as well (ok, he's three years go), and the thought of losing him is unbearable to me. I'm glad you got a pretty package in the mail to cheer you up a little! And get to go to ABQ to the balloon fiesta! We just got back from there - so beautiful!! Hugs, Silke
