The scarf that I mentioned back here is finally up in my Etsy shop! It took me longer than anticipated, but its there now and available to be drooled over ;)
In other news, I took a walk the other day with a friend down by the river (there is some water in New Mexico, but not too much, so "river" is loosely defined, some months its there, others its just a giant mud pit).
Here are some of the views from that trip.
And looky what we found! A catfish skeleton! No idea how it got where it was...but its been there a while.
Have you gone on any adventures recently?

Unlikely Photographer
So between Matt and I, I am usually the one taking pictures. I take pictures of everything, my products, my friends, my hamster, our homeless kitty, certain sleeping boyfriends (its really not that creepy right?) pretty much anything I think is picture-worthy. While on vacation a few weeks back he was playing with the camera trying to figure out various settings and what not and took a few shots. This is one of my favorites, who woulda known that such an unassuming boy could take such a simple, calming photo?

Winston's Adventure
Remember our very good friend Winston who came to live with me via IckyDogCreations? Well he went on his first vacation this past weekend out to San Diego and had a heck of a time! Want to see some of his vacation pictures?
He woke up early the second day of the trip and helped make some tortillas, he rolled them out
And flash cooked them on an upside-down pan
He also was able to enjoy some fresh macadamia nuts straight from the tree!
Cracking them open was a bit of a challenge for him
He also got to play a lot of Frisbee and became quite the athlete jumping as high as he could to catch the flying disks!
And he even found some rat-sized Tabasco sauce jars J

Camping Adventures
This past weekend a group of friends and Matt and I decided to unwind from summer classes by taking a small camping trip and getting away from town. No it wasn't one of those typical, get-so-drunk-you-can't-stand camping trips, it was a legitimate, calming (sort of, at least), only bring a little alcohol camping trips. Remember that house I showed you last time? We went back in that area and showed our friends the house. This time I actually got pictures!
old fireplace, looks like it was put to good use
the staircase was in surprisingly good condition, we thought we were going to fall through a number of times!
at the top of the stairs was a large "room" with two mattresses a window on one side and a door-frame on the other
I thought this was a really interesting find, it was in a nearby structure that used to be another house

I found this little broken piece of pottery in a different nearby building (check out that macro action, you like that? eh? eh? I though you might ;))

Gymnastics
On our adventure the other day Matt and I stopped at a local park and took advantage of the stellar people-watching and green grass.
He is much more...graceful...than I am hehe

And this picture I'm sure doesn't say much for his photography abilities nor my cartwheel abilities hehe

Adventures in Small Town
The other day after having been productive around the house for most of the day, I approached Matt with the idea to go on a moped adventure around little Socorro.
Here are some of the places we visited and sites we saw
