What Do You See?

What do you see in the picture above? To the ordinary, untrained eye, it might look like three small pots of dirt and a vine in a jar but in reality to my highly trained eye, it looks like tomatoes, cilantro, basil and a vine in a jar!

That's right, I'm planting again, now that we are settled in a house (for better or worse) I can finally unpack (if I had the time) and plant some seeds. I am waiting on the vine to grow some roots so I can put it in my massive tea cup planter, and the tomato, basil and cilantro seeds just need to sprout into little delicious plants and I can move them outside :D

Are you planting anything this year?

*sidenote - all of the planters came from the thrift store :D

Sweet Little Vintage Shop

Well, I guess "little" isn't exactly the right word, with over 100 items, RollingHillsVintage keeps my attention with a plethora of some of the most adorable household items.

I am in love with vintage Pyrex bowls and these showcase the size and durability in my favorite color!

I would love to grow a leafy vine out of this small planter.

And who wouldn't enjoy a cup of tea poured from this teapot? So simple and sweet :)

Temporary House

Right now, Matt and I are living in a temporary house. We have moved out of our apartment but haven't gotten the loan for the new house yet so....we're living in another place for the time being.

Its an old historical house, some politician lived there a while back or something, either way, its super old, super neat and super cold. The house came complete with all kinds of vintage and antique goodies and I know you will all love them so I took plenty of photos for you to drool over :)

This adorable little dish sits on top of a dresser with a bowl of mints that have been here for who knows how long and the following awesome lamp:

I love white and blue porcelain pieces and this house is full of them, the large bowl below would make a great planter for a window of foliage:

There is also a range of furniture in the house, the rocking chair below is so cute and simple and I love it :)

And in one of the rooms is this built in wall-shelf with all sorts of goodies and knicknacks!

Let's take a closer look,

We found similar items in the basement along with tons of other neato stuff, but photos of those will come when I get some decent lighting, in the meantime, lets take a closer look at this gorgeous plate:

And lets not forget the chandeliers! There are two of the one shown below, and two others in the house that are different. I guess if you have ceilings so dang high you need chandeliers right?

Teapot Plant

I just saw this on the front page of Etsy and think it is so cute! I love the choice of plants and the fact that it is overflowing with life! I know most of my life is sustained by tea, so its very appropriate ;) And the photography is, of course, gorgeous as well :) Check out the rest of VerdeGarden for more super chic planters.

Little Tree

My little tree from sevenacrewoods sprouted! It sprouted! There's a little sprout! Lookie lookie!

Isn't it so exciting? I haven't killed it yet! I planted it in a leftover planter we had that had previously served as a coffin for some tomato sprouts and now it sits proudly on one of our two stools near the window. Who needs to sit comfortably when there is a plant to grow?

I'd really like to upgrade it to a beautiful pot from Etsy, but until I can afford it (and the tree gets a little bigger) I'll just have to drool over these I found browsing and daydreaming about the day my little tree gives fruit:
