Revisting an old project and updating a new one

Remember back in this post where I showed you some custom mitts I made for nigatsubebe? Today I have a picture of her wearing them! I'm so glad she likes them, and I cannot wait to use the yarn I got in exchange, I know just what I want to do with it :)

In other news, we redid our website layout again. I know I know, but hopefully this will be the second to last time (we want to design it totally ourselves and not have to use a template) but in the mean time, what do you think of the new layout?

And for that website, I don't know if you noticed, but we have a Featured Products section. We are also looking for products to feature. Plastic-free of course, perhaps some products that we use everyday that we can get rid of plastic from? Happy 4th!

Hi all, its Saturday, the 4th, the day for fireworks, flags and friends.

I don't know about you, but I have a lot of plans for today, yet somehow it is just a tad too early to get started on them...but that leaves me a little time to blog!

Yesterday Matt and I switched our website to a new host and have totally redone it! Please check it out and let us know what you think of the new layout, we're hoping it will be a little more user-friendly and organized. It's still in the works, but hopefully you like it :)

What are your plans for today? I know we're going to be busy!

Starting tomorrow!

Today is the last day of June! That means...the No Plastic Challenge starts tomorrow!

For a whole month Matt and I will not purchase anything that has even a smidgen of plastic on it. In our tiny town that is going to be difficult, we don't have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or anything similar nearby, just Smith's, Wal*Mart (which we avoid like the plague) and John Brooks. I see quite a bit of fresh fruits and veggies in our future, homemade bread (Matt makes the BEST), homemade tortillas, homemade salsa, eggs and beans, along with a few other neat finds we'll show you on our website.
