Have you ever been camping and seen the wild life? It's cool, isn't it? I love creatures of all kinds (my boyfriend has to fight to keep our pet numbers down to one, our little miss Lisa) and seeing them in their natural environment is always a very cool experience. Probably 3 or 4 years ago I was on my way back from such a trip and saw this little cutie.
He was closer to the car than the picture does justice and we could see all of his features very clearly, it was such a cool event!

I love that pic. Bears in the wild are such beautiful creatures. It's kind of an everyday thing just north of where I live.
When I worked in Mammoth, my coworker and I were waiting to get into the building when I pointed out a black bear coming towards us. We slowly got back in her car. The bear sniffed around the car and I locked the doors just as the bear stood on his back legs and tried the handle of my door. I was literally a few inches from a bear that was over six feet tall with only a piece of glass seperating us. I know what you mean by it being closer than the picture lets on.
hopefully he didn't make a habit of crossing the road too much! that would probably total someone's car!! (glad you didn't hit it!)
BEAR??? How awesome is that? My hubby would tell you that I would have tried to get out and give the bear a hug :) Or...maybe not.
better to be in the car then actually out camping!
Crazy! I've seen a bear and a moose. Luckily we were in cars for both!

Whoa... If I ever saw a bear walking down the road, I'd cry.
Last summer, on Christopher's birthday, our cat had run away. My neighbor sent me a text message, because she had seen one down the street, so I paused the movie we were watching, and walked down the street in the dark to investigate. In the middle of my "here kitty kitty kitty", I notice that the cat I'm calling, is NOT my cat. Its not even a HOUSE cat. Its a freakin' bob cat, and what the hell was I doing out here, barefoot, calling the damn thing?! It started making bob cat noises at me, obviously trying to say "hey lady, I'm not your cute lil' kitten", so I backed up slowly, absolutely shocked, and then ran like a little girl back to my house, haha.
Ohhh! a real bear!
ps. i get migrains too but weirdly seem to have grown out of them now that I'm 40 odd, guess you have a ways to go before then but at least you have something to look forward to!x
