Its All Coming Back!

There will be a MASSIVE shop update through out the day today.

All of my knitted items are coming back to the shop!

All of my hats, my scarves, mitts, bags, and other et ceteras will be added to the shop and finally available for purchase again :)

Who else is excited?  (Obviously, I am!)

Super Cute Recycled Goodness

I came across SoSheSews the other day in the Etsy Fora and am thoroughly pleased with her very cute, very practical and very recycled selection. Her diverse shop offers wallets, clothing, bags, coffee cozies, hair pins and more!

Here's a little blurb from her profile about why she sells on Etsy:

"I am really interested in re-use, particularly in the garment industry and see it as an opportunity not only to save resources and avoid contributing to inhumane industries, but also to promote one-on-one trade where the buyer deals and interacts directly with the craftsman."

Her creations are made from fused plastic bags, recycled and repurposed fabrics and other whatnots. I wish I could one of each of the items in her shop :)

Bags

So I rode my bike to campus/class/work this morning and had to switch out my bags before doing so. I definitely need a large, sturdy, comfortable bag to carry my books, laptop, food, and incoming mail in.

So, of course, I was browsing Etsy looking for bags that fit the above prescription and came across so many super cool shop! Wanna meet them?

Ban the Bags!

I don't know if you have seen this link or not, but I suggest you do. For the very sake of our nation, our world, and your kids and grandkids, this a very important topic and we need to bring it to the attention of the government and the general public.

So what should we do about it? Well thats easy! Just Say "NO!" to plastic bags at the supermarket, and at the mall, and everywhere else they give you random plastic bags!

Instead, be fashionable, functional, and eco-friendly with any of these, and more! There are tons of shops out there that provide an alternative to the plastic. These are simply a few I think are awesome.
