I participated in ChristopherandTia's Flashback Friday last week and it got a good response and it was fun for me to do, so I'm doing it again this week!
I don't have too many pictures right now if things that I actually *remember* real well, but the pictures I do have bring back lotsa memories not associated with the picture, does that make sense? I promise if I do keep doing this, I will get pictures that I can tell you the story about next time I go up and visit my momma :)
Anyways, here is the picture for this week:
Those are my brothers and I as munchkins. The one in the headlock is my little brother, the one giving it is my older brother. Don't they look like they're having a blast? Hehe, well this only continued until my little brother got big enough to cause troubles of his own.
See that elephant I am holding? That's where it all started, I'm sure. My love for elephants. I didn't get a teddy bear as a baby, I got a teddy-phant. His name is Buddy and I do still have him and may sleep with him as a pillow on occasion...don't tell anyone. As far as I'm told, Buddy was originally given to my older brother when he was born but he didn't have any interest in it so when I was born I got it. So, my love for elephants was decided before I was even around!
Do you want to participate? Its easy! Just post up a picture from your young years and talk about it and post your link over on their blog :)

That is ADORABLE!
Sometimes it is way fun to travel down memory lane and think back on those wonderful moments.

oh goodness, how adorable!! I grew up with 3 brothers, all younger than me, but memories like those are some of the best ones I have :)
Lovely post!
I still have a couple of my fav stuffed animals too (one is by my bed just in case I need a "pillow" to prop my neck.. hehe). I love the cowboy boots on your older brother! your younger bro looks like a train conductor! :)
I think it's sweet you still have Buddy. I eventually got rid of all of my stuffed animals...with the exception of a Snoopy doll that hugs on to a Woodstock doll. My dad got it when he was out to sea for 6 months when he was in the Navy. Now that he's passed away, I'm really glad I kept it. I passed it on to my son...who doesn't really pay much attention to it.
At least it wasn't you in the headlock, hahah.
A teddy-phant, so cute!!
I still sleep with my childhood teddy bear every night. Its pathetic. Hes falling apart, and would never survive a trip through the wash, we have to freeze him for 48 hours to kill any bacteria.
I also didn't have a teddy bear - I was given a weird little doll called a Jammie Pies (something from the '80s - google it and you'll see its weirdness). I still have it and love it, but have to keep it put away since my husband doesn't really feel the need to have it in bed with us. I have no idea why. ;) He was a teddy bear kid, maybe he just doesn't understand. :) Your elephant is cute and your brothers make me chuckle. I had a little brother who liked to put me in headlocks...it wasn't very much fun. Thanks for sharing! :)
