If I ever saw a bear walking down the road...Whoa... If I ever saw a bear walking down the road, I'd cry.

Last summer, on Christopher's birthday, our cat had run away. My neighbor sent me a text message, because she had seen one down the street, so I paused the movie we were watching, and walked down the street in the dark to investigate. In the middle of my "here kitty kitty kitty", I notice that the cat I'm calling, is NOT my cat. Its not even a HOUSE cat. Its a freakin' bob cat, and what the hell was I doing out here, barefoot, calling the damn thing?! It started making bob cat noises at me, obviously trying to say "hey lady, I'm not your cute lil' kitten", so I backed up slowly, absolutely shocked, and then ran like a little girl back to my house, haha.Tia Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07055062627149820244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3242839368095073028.post-10684023577755368952010-04-30T18:58:50.095-06:002010-04-30T18:58:50.095-06:00Crazy! It's kind of an everyday thing just north of where I live.

When I worked in Mammoth, my coworker and I were waiting to get into the building when I pointed out a black bear coming towards us. We slowly got back in her car. The bear sniffed around the car and I locked the doors just as the bear stood on his back legs and tried the handle of my door. I was literally a few inches from a bear that was over six feet tall with only a piece of glass seperating us. I know what you mean by it being closer than the picture lets on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
